Video Production in Wellington, Filmed at Your Business
A Wellington videographer spends a day at your business, and that footage becomes 12 finished reels for Instagram and TikTok, released one a week. Planned, filmed and edited by Media Giant from Lower Hutt.
A Wellington videographer at your business, one day a quarter.
Most small businesses know they should be posting video. Very few manage it, and the reason is rarely ideas. It is that nobody has a spare afternoon to film anything, edit it and work out what to say in the caption. Social video is a production problem, not a posting problem.
Media Giant solves it by filming a whole quarter in a single day. A videographer spends the day at your business, working through a shot list we have agreed with you, and that footage becomes 12 finished vertical reels released one a week. You carry on trading while we film around you.
We plan, film and edit from our office at 22 Downer Street in Lower Hutt, and Media Giant has worked with more than 200 New Zealand businesses since 2016. The point of a shoot day is that it happens where your customers would see you: in the shop, on the site, at the bench or behind the counter.
What we film on a Wellington shoot day.
Before the day, we agree what the quarter is selling. Then we build a shot list around it: what to film, who is in it and what each reel needs to say. You see the list before we turn up.
Faces outperform logos, so it helps if someone is happy on camera. If nobody is, plenty of strong video is hands, process, product and place.
Your team
The people customers will meet, introduced properly. It is the fastest way to make a business feel familiar before anyone walks in.
Your process
The job being done. A strip-out, a fit-out, a repair or a pour, filmed so that someone who has never seen it understands why it takes skill.
Your product
What you sell, in use and up close, with the questions customers usually ask answered on screen.
Your place
The premises, the street and the neighbourhood. Stills from the same shoot are yours to keep for the website, ads and social tiles.
How a three month video block runs.
One concentrated day is the only version of this that businesses keep up. A crew turning up every fortnight gets cancelled by the third visit, while one day, planned properly, produces more usable footage than six rushed ones.

1
Strategy and shot list
Before the day we agree the quarter's message and build the list of what to film and who appears.
-
2
The shoot day
A videographer spends the day on site working through the list: team, process, product and place. You keep trading.
-
3
The edit
The footage becomes 12 finished reels, cut for a hook in the first two seconds, captioned so they work with the sound off, and graded to look like you.

4
Handover or publishing
On Self-Publish the reels and a 12 week release schedule land with you. On Posted For You we publish a reel a week and a story five days a week, and watch the comments.

Review and the next block
At the end of the quarter we look at what held attention and what did not, then write the next shot list from that answer rather than from a template.
Video production pricing, set out in full.
Both packages use the same shoot day. The difference is who posts the reels. All prices exclude GST, are billed per three month block on an open term, and match the pricing page.
Self-Publish
$5,500/quarterOne shoot day, 12 finished reels edited and captioned, shot vertical for Instagram and TikTok, with a 12 week release schedule. The stills are yours to keep.
Posted For You
$7,500/quarterEverything in Self-Publish, plus we publish the 12 reels across 12 weeks, run a story five days a week, and monitor comments and DMs, passing enquiries to you.
Social Autopilot
$100/mo per platformA month of branded posts and captions built from your website and reviews, approved by you in one sitting. The reels drop straight into the calendar.
Paid social behind the reels is priced to brief, because the right budget and objective differ for every business. The full service is on social media and filmed reels.
Instagram first, or TikTok first?
Instagram and TikTok are where short video reach lives in New Zealand, because both push reels to people who do not follow you yet. Which one leads depends on what you sell, and we decide that before we film a single frame.
Instagram first
Suits businesses customers physically walk into: cafes, salons, gyms, studios, boutiques and hospitality.
In a city with coffee culture this competitive, being remembered on a Saturday morning is the whole game. Reels of the room and the people do that job, and stories keep you in front of the regulars in between.
TikTok first
Suits trades and services with a process worth watching: a renovation, a repair or an explanation of what a job really involves.
TikTok rewards useful over polished, and a good explainer reaches further there than almost anything else you can get without paying for it.
Facebook and your website
Facebook still carries older audiences and local community groups, so we cross-post reels there when it earns its place.
Stills and clips from the day also work on your website and in Google Business Profile posts, so the shoot pays for itself in more than one place.
What a reel can do for your business, and what it cannot.
Video on Instagram and TikTok does not directly move your Google rankings, because links from social platforms do not pass ranking authority. What it does is grow branded search: people who watched your reel look you up by name a few days later.
So treat video as the top of the funnel, and make sure the bottom is ready to catch what it sends. If social is the wrong spend for you entirely, we will say so. Plenty of Wellington businesses get more from Google Ads or SEO than they would from another reel.
Reels reach new people
Instagram and TikTok push reels to people who do not follow you yet. That is where every hour of the shoot day goes.
Stories hold the regulars
Five a week on Posted For You, built from the same footage, so the account looks alive between reels.
No general grid posts
The reels packages are video only, deliberately. If you want the wider feed covered, that is Social Autopilot at $100 a month per platform.
Video filmed at your business.
The reels we have filmed are on our social media page, and the businesses we work with are on the case studies page.
Your people and your premises
The reels from a shoot day are filmed at your own premises, with your people in them. On the website side, we have not used a stock photo on a client site since 2020.
The same faces on your website
If we also build your website, our monthly website plans include a free photoshoot of your team and premises, so the site and the reels show the same people.
Reported with everything else
Your reporting dashboard tracks what the reels earned alongside search, so you can see video and enquiries in one place.
Video production across the Wellington region.
We shoot on site wherever you are, from Island Bay to Upper Hutt and through to the Wairarapa. For clients further afield we plan the shot list so one trip covers the whole block.
Wellington city
Cafes, bars, retailers and professional firms from Courtenay Place to Lambton Quay, where trade swings with the season, the weather and whatever is on in town.
Lower Hutt and Petone
Our home base. Workshops, showrooms and trades with a process worth filming, a short drive from our office on Downer Street.
Upper Hutt
Builders, mechanics and home services working the valley, where a useful explainer can outperform any polished brand film.
Porirua and Kāpiti
Growing communities where local Facebook groups still matter, so cross-posting the reels earns its place.

Video production questions
A quarter of filmed reels is $5,500 excluding GST on Self-Publish: one shoot day and 12 finished reels you post yourself. Posted For You is $7,500 a quarter, and we publish the 12 reels over 12 weeks and run a story five days a week from the same footage. Both are billed per three month block on an open term. See the pricing page.
We book a single day inside each three month block and come to your business with a videographer. We work through a shot list built from your strategy: team, process, product and place. One day on site gives us everything the next 12 weeks need, so you are not stopping work for a camera every fortnight.
It helps, because faces outperform logos, but no. Plenty of strong content is hands, process, product and place. We build a shot list you are comfortable with before the day.
Yes. We shoot on site wherever you are, from Island Bay to Upper Hutt, and we cover greater Wellington through to the Wairarapa. For clients further afield we plan the shot list so one trip covers the whole block.
Self-Publish is $5,500 a quarter: we shoot and edit, then hand you 12 finished reels and a release schedule. Posted For You is $7,500 a quarter: we also publish those reels over 12 weeks, run a story five days a week, and monitor comments and DMs, passing enquiries to you.
Not directly. Links from Instagram and TikTok do not pass ranking authority. What video does is grow branded search, because people who watched your reel look you up by name later. Treat it as the top of the funnel and SEO as the bottom.
